Storing your inflatable pool toys

August 09, 2017

Frequent users of pool toys might not need to give so much attention to following specific rules to appropriately keep their gears. But should you be an individual who only gets to bring out pool toys at a particular season- say, every summer or a considerably long interval- then you should make it a point of duty to know the right way to store your toys. And that is what this article shall seek to address.

So, if you intend to store and use your inflatable pool toys for a long period of time, you cannot just get it out of the water and repackage into its carrier or casing. Such act would encourage the growth of mildew and mould- these can come about due to the moisture retained in the toy- which can cause the rapid degradation of the toy.

To curtail this, gently scrub the whole part of the toy with a brush repeatedly dipped into a vinegar solution- vinegar mixed with water in a ratio of 1:31- and then rinse off the solution from the toy. Mind you this should be done after you must taken the toy out of the pool. Thereafter, the toy should be air-dried; deflated and folded up into its carrier and then store it up in a dry place. However, prior to deflating the toy, you can coat the toy with talcrum powder in order to prevent the surface of the toy from sticking together.
